Below you will find an introduction about the volunteering activities and internship positions to give you an idea of the possibilities NICC offers.

Volunteering at the NICC

A volunteer position in which you can add to the future by looking at the past? You are at the right place! In this section we present a few volunteering options that NICC has.

The collection needs to be preserved, pieces need to be added or summarized. Do you like to make the collection accessible and do you like to organize documents? The collection group might be interesting for you.

However, the NICC works a lot on oral history through videos as well. Would you like to improve your video editing skills? The NICC is the right place to expand your knowledge and skills.

Furthermore, the NICC tries to make experiences with international cooperation and development more transparent through timelines about a diverse range of topics such as fairtrade, gender, and water. We are always looking for enthusiastic volunteers that like to work on timelines by researching a specific topic or case. You will research a topic that you find interesting together with a group of young professionals and experts with practical experience. Together you will present a topic from different perspectives.

As a young organization we offer a lot of opportunities, but are always interested in your own creative ideas and projects. We look forward to meeting you.

Internship at the NICC

Do you know the importance of international cooperation, and do you want to make the history of sustainable development more transparent? Then an internship at the NICC may be the right place for you.

The NICC foundation is looking for interns who would like to contribute to making the history of international cooperation more transparent and provide it with context. The timelines the NICC makes give an overview of the most important developments around different topics in the history of international cooperation and sustainable development. Interviews, material from the NICC collection and videos form the basis of these timelines.

As an intern you will be able to contribute to the timelines that interest you in cooperation with young professionals and experts with practical experience in the field. You will also help with organizing webinars and promoting the timelines on social media.

If you are more interested in communication then the NICC may also be the right place for you. As a young foundation you will be able to have a big impact in helping develop a comprehensive communication strategy.

So if you are looking for practical experience, or if you have to complete an internship as part of your study, we would very much like to meet you. Internships at the NICC run from three to six months and can be fulfilled on both a full time and part time basis. We look forward to the opportunity to speak with those who are interested.
